Our history

As often happens, it was only by chance our story began. Our family had already owned olive groves for generations but it was not until grandpa Pistelli found some old, abandoned granite millstones that he decided to renovate an old water mill to operate the oil mill. Hard work and the extraordinary quality of the olives of our land did the rest.

Location

Buying an old water mill

1950

Location

The discovery of two abandoned millstones.

My grandfather’s passion for oil materialised after finding two abandoned granite millstones.

1972

Location

Mill actitivty starts up after the renovation of the water mill.

Also my father, who had just graduated in Agricultural Sciences, helps my grandfather in setting-up the oil mill.

1979

Location

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is bottled.

From the sale of bulk oil, to bottling, to keep up with new market demands.

1991

Location

The old mills are replaced by a new continuous cycle mill.

Over time my father has transformed and improved the plant adapting it to his search for quality right up until today, producing extra virgin olive oil with a modern continuous extraction system.

2000

Location

Concalma is born, our new brand of oil.

The most modern and up-to-date phase tells of plants cultivated using only organic fertilisers and a certified organic production since the late nineties. The trees are located on a hill between 300 and 400 meters high, on limestone soil and in a perfect position.
